Po ukończeniu liceum plastycznego w Supraślu studiował rzeźbę w Wyższej Szkole Sztuk Plastycznych w Poznaniu. W latach 70. był kierownikiem i dyrektorem Muzeum Okręgowego w Siedlcach, a później: instruktorem CKiS, wykładowcą siedleckiej uczelni i nauczycielem w Mińsku Mazowieckim. Jego działania twórcze zostały nagrodzone m.in. brązowym medalem „Gloria Artis” oraz „Medalem Złotym za Długoletnią Służbę”, przyznanym przez Prezydenta RP.
